Hebrew Hangout Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and AKS Solutions, LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as Hebrew Hangout ("Hebrew Hangout," "we," "us," or "our").

They cover your use of hebrewhangout.com (the "Site") and the tutoring services we provide ("Services").

By using the Site, booking a lesson, or enrolling a student, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site or the Services.

Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms.

Who Can Use the Services

You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of the student to book lessons, create an account, or make a payment.

Students are minors. All bookings, communications, payments, and account decisions run through the parent or guardian. We do not enter into agreements with students directly.

By enrolling a student, you confirm that you are that student's parent or legal guardian and that you have authority to agree to these Terms on the student's behalf.

The Services

We provide live, one on one Bar and Bat Mitzvah tutoring delivered over Google Meet. Depending on the plan you choose and your child's needs, sessions may cover Hebrew reading, blessings, trope, the Torah portion, and d'var Torah preparation.

Free trial lesson. New families may book one free trial session. There is no obligation to continue afterward. We reserve the right to limit trial lessons to one per family.

Sessions. Weekly Hangout sessions run 45 minutes. Big-Day Intensive sessions run 60 minutes. Session length is measured from the scheduled start time.

Recordings. We record sessions and send the recording to the parent email on file. Recording is a standard part of the program. If you want a session not recorded, tell us before it starts.

No guaranteed outcome. We are a tutoring service. We prepare students carefully and we have taught hundreds of B'nai Mitzvah students. We do not guarantee any particular level of Hebrew fluency, any specific performance on the bimah, or acceptance or approval by any synagogue, clergy member, or congregation.

Not a synagogue. We are an independent tutoring business. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any synagogue, movement, or religious body. Your synagogue sets its own requirements. Confirm those requirements with your clergy.

Scheduling, Cancellation, and Missed Sessions

Booking. Sessions are scheduled by agreement between you and Hebrew Hangout and confirmed by calendar invitation.

Rescheduling and cancellation. You may reschedule or cancel a session with at least 24 hours notice at no charge. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, and sessions the student does not attend, are charged in full.

Late arrival. If a student joins late, the session still ends at its scheduled time. We do not extend sessions to make up for a late start.

If we cancel. If we cancel or cannot deliver a session, we will reschedule it or issue a full refund for that session, at your choice.

Technical problems. Lessons depend on your internet connection, device, camera, and microphone. If a session cannot proceed because of a problem on your side, standard cancellation terms apply. If the problem is on our side, we will reschedule or refund.

Pricing and Payment

Current rates. Weekly Hangout is $70 per 45-minute session. Big-Day Intensive is $95 per 60-minute session. The trial lesson is free.

No packages, no contracts. You pay by the session. There is no minimum commitment and no long-term contract. You may stop at any time.

Payment method. Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing a payment method, you authorize us to charge it for sessions delivered and for sessions charged under the cancellation terms above. Stripe handles your card information under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not store card numbers.

Billing timing. How you are billed depends on how you book:

Late payment. If a payment fails or an invoice goes unpaid, we may pause scheduling until the balance is settled.

Discounts. Sibling discounts and sliding-scale rates are available at our discretion. Ask us. Any discount we grant applies only to the family and terms agreed at the time and may be withdrawn for future sessions on notice.

Price changes. We may change our rates. We will give you at least 30 days notice before a change affects your sessions. Changes never apply retroactively to sessions already delivered or already invoiced.

Taxes. Prices do not include any applicable taxes.

Satisfaction Commitment

We stand behind the quality of our teaching. If a session falls short because of something on our end, we will make it right.

How it works. If you are not satisfied with a session, email or call us within 24 hours of that session. We will schedule a replacement session at no charge.

What it covers. The commitment applies to problems within our control. Examples include the tutor being unprepared, the lesson covering the wrong material, the tutor arriving late, or a technical failure on our side.

What it does not cover. The commitment does not apply where the issue sits outside our control. Examples include a student who is tired, distracted, or not participating, a student who has not practiced between sessions, an internet or device problem on your side, or a difference of opinion about pace or teaching style that was not raised during the session.

Conditions. The student must have attended the full session. The request must reach us within 24 hours. The remedy is a replacement session, not a refund, and it is limited to the session in question. Sessions already replaced under this commitment are not eligible again.

We decide in good faith whether a request falls within the commitment.

Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

We may pause or end Services if a student or family is abusive, repeatedly misses sessions without notice, or does not pay.

Recordings and Materials

What you may do with recordings. Session recordings are provided to you for your family's personal practice. You may watch them, download them, and share them within your immediate family and with your clergy.

What you may not do. You may not publish recordings, post them publicly, sell them, or share them with other families, tutors, or educational businesses.

Lesson materials. Worksheets, trope guides, PDFs, practice notes, curriculum, and other materials we provide remain our property or the property of their original owners. You may use them for your child's preparation. You may not redistribute, resell, or use them to teach other students.

Our permission to use content. We do not use recordings, your child's image, or your child's voice in marketing without your written permission. If you give a testimonial or review, you allow us to publish it, with the option to use a first name and last initial only.

Third-party religious texts. Torah portions, blessings, and liturgical texts are not our property. Nothing here claims any right in them.

Site Content

The Site, including its text, design, logos, graphics, and code, belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, scrape, or republish it without our written permission.

You agree not to interfere with the Site, attempt to gain unauthorized access to it, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

Third-Party Services

Lessons run on Google Meet. Scheduling runs on Google Calendar. Payments run on Stripe. Recordings are stored in Google Drive. Each of these providers has its own terms and privacy policy, and your use of the Services means you are subject to them. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or failures in third-party platforms.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error free, or that they will produce any particular educational result.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed the total amount you paid us in the six months before the event giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost opportunity or emotional distress, even where we have been advised of the possibility.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AKS Solutions, LLC, its owners, and anyone delivering Services on its behalf from any claim, loss, or expense, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Services or materials.

Ending Services

You may stop at any time. There is no commitment. Tell us and we will cancel remaining sessions. You remain responsible for sessions already delivered and for sessions charged under the cancellation terms.

We may stop. We may suspend or end Services for non-payment, abusive behavior, repeated no-shows, or any breach of these Terms. Where we end Services without cause, we will refund any prepaid sessions not yet delivered.

After termination. Recordings remain available for 12 months after the final lesson, then are deleted. Request copies before then if you want to keep them.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at aliza@hebrewhangout.com and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally. Most disputes end here.

If we cannot resolve it, any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Nevada. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts and waive any objection to venue there.

Nothing in this section limits any right you have under the consumer protection laws of your state of residence that cannot be waived by agreement.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. When we do, we revise the Effective Date above and post the new version on the Site. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept it. If a change materially affects sessions you have already paid for, we will tell you directly.

General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.

Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Hebrew Hangout regarding the Services.

You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business.
