Your time is valuable so why not take it back. With online tutoring, Hebrew Hangout eliminates the need for you to drive to a lesson and instead, gives you the individualized attention that all students want and need. Scheduling is flexible and designed to work for you in a way that is most convenient. Live, online tutoring sessions can take place virtually anywhere as long as it is a quiet space, free of distractions. You must have a working computer with a video camera and microphone.

It is truly very simple. We will send a link and all you have to do is click on it. We can make sure everything is working during your free trial lesson. All you need is a working computer with a decent internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone. (Most new computers have these already built-in.) We ask that you are in a quiet location without distractions. Sometimes headphones help but are not usually necessary.

We are here to support you whether you are affiliated or not. We will work directly with your synagogue to prepare you according to their guidelines. We can also help in finding you a Rabbi in your area.

Cost per lesson varies based on the number of lessons and which program you sign up for. Discounts are available. All materials are included.

It truly depends on you and your child’s learning goals and needs. Every student is different and learns at his/her own pace. Sessions are between 30 and 60 minutes long and can occur as often as you would like. With practice time in between lessons and small assignments to reinforce material learned, we can accomplish even more in the time that we have.

After each lesson, you will receive an email with a brief overview of what was taught and what will be learned during the next session. There will be homework attachments if any, and your tutor is always available through email or scheduled phone calls. It is our top priority to communicate with students and parents so there are never any surprises and everyone’s expectations are realistic.

As educators, we believe that learning should and can be fun. It is important to remember that everyone learns differently and what works for some may not work for others. We take pride in our experience working with students of all backgrounds and of all learning styles. We offer individual classes in Bar/Bat Mitzvah Preparation, Hebrew Language, and Torah Studies.

One-on-one lessons are likely to make the experience of learning something new much more enjoyable. We are enthusiastic and all of our tutors truly enjoy teaching.
